It all started as an innocent visit to daddy's office where Nolan loves to play with all the phones. Then a phone in the reception area rag so he ran, laughing to get it, when he tripped and fell into the table...
His front teeth scraped the lamenate of the table and a splinter of it was lodged in between his gums and front teeth on the roof of his mouth like a splinter. He cried for only two minutes and proceeded to play with the phones as Jason and I got out coats and headed to Patient First. We waited almost an hour there for them to send us to a real emergency room. Nolan was completely uneffected and thought we were just running errands as we went to the St. Joseph's ER.Once we got there, we waited in this little hospital room for about 2 hours. Nolan cried only once when Jason left the room to take a call. Finally a doctor came, fished out the black splinter with a pair of tweezers, and send us on our way.
Nolan was so happy to go that he just wanted to kiss us! He earned his first Happy Meal last night.

I'm afraid that Nolan really belives that he is controlling all of the action on the TV with this video game controller. He wants to hold it constantly, and feverishly presses the buttons and screams at the TV, like he is in control of the people falling on America's Funniest Home Videos. It might be time to hide it.

Nolan did so well at "school!" Ms. Laurie said that he acted like he came there all the time. He played well, ate his lunch, made this Ravens crown and took a good nap. I even got a chance to miss him. We both can't wait for Tuesday!

Nolan went to his first day of pre-pre-school today! OK, so it is really an in-home daycare up the street, but I am sure he will learn a lot. On the day we went to visit, he walked right in, like he owned the joint. He walked right up to a little girl, and gave her a hug. Then, he ran around with the little boys, pretending like he understood their game of tag. It is so funny watching him interact with other little people. He is very friendly and loves to hug and lay his head on the other kids. Anyway, we dropped him off today and I do not even feel a twinge of mommy guilt. He is going to have a blast, learn a lot, and make new friends. I am going to work. It is a win-win situation!

This little dare-devil jumped out of his crib today! I was checking my email when I heard a giant thud above my head, I ran to see what it was and was shocked to see this little guy running towards me. Looks like we will have to adjust the crib again!
