It all started as an innocent visit to daddy's office where Nolan loves to play with all the phones. Then a phone in the reception area rag so he ran, laughing to get it, when he tripped and fell into the table...

His front teeth scraped the lamenate of the table and a splinter of it was lodged in between his gums and front teeth on the roof of his mouth like a splinter. He cried for only two minutes and proceeded to play with the phones as Jason and I got out coats and headed to Patient First. We waited almost an hour there for them to send us to a real emergency room. Nolan was completely uneffected and thought we were just running errands as we went to the St. Joseph's ER.

Once we got there, we waited in this little hospital room for about 2 hours. Nolan cried only once when Jason left the room to take a call. Finally a doctor came, fished out the black splinter with a pair of tweezers, and send us on our way.

Nolan was so happy to go that he just wanted to kiss us! He earned his first Happy Meal last night.
