At the risk of sounding like one of those people who tells you how to do everything about raising your kids (but coming from the standpoint of trying to feed a kid that will not eat and has a feeding tube)--try using a finger tooth brush, plastic spoons, or something like a wash cloth (if he likes putting cloth in his mouth). Good luck! And hey, fingers work too.
We tried. He is not too sure about this spoonthing yet.
